Kristen and Kim met in their neighborhood through mutual friends, and quickly became fast friends & bonded over being professional artists. Over the past few years over many dog walks they were constantly brainstorming on ways to collaborate. After a lot of promising (but not quite right) brilliant ideas they finally found the perfect marriage of their talents and background with Let's Start with Art.  

A little bit about Kristen: 

 

A little bit about Kim:

Kim Sly started her career as an artist/designer in 2011 when she left her corporate job as a recruiter and launched Albie Designs in 2011. She started with a few city illustrations and has since grown Albie Designs to a large collection of domestic and international city prints. Through her graphic and minimalist style she works to create a unique but familiar story in each city illustration. Over the years she has partnered with national brands such as Paper Source, West Elm, One Kings Lane, Zullily and Home Goods. Also, locally she has worked with New Seasons Market, Oblation and many other independent retailers. She works from her home studio in Portland, Oregon where she lives with her husband, two sons and dog Fonzie.
